Summary

William "Green Bar Bill" Hillcourt (1900–1992) in 1985, with a totem pole, made by Ernest Thompson Seton, erected on the lawn of his home in Manlius, New York. Part of a photo spread in Scouting magazine, published by the Boy Scouts of America as an 85th birthday tribute, which acclaimed him the "foremost influence on development of the Boy Scouting program".
